Grand Canyon Association is proud to have a partnership with Grand Canyon National Park spanning more than 80 years. Our close working relationship with our park partners has allowed us to support and protect the canyon together by building a passionate community of Grand Canyon stewards.
How We Work With Our Partners
Funding
The most significant way in which GCA supports Grand Canyon is through direct donations to the National Park Service. Each year, the association and NPS identify priority projects that will enhance the visitor experience and provide them with interpretive and educational resources. These projects are funded through our generous supporters, including members, sponsors, those who buy GCA products or join us for a field institute trip.
Visitor Services
Our partnership with the National Park Service allow us to preserve the park for future generations through projects such as trail restoration, resource management, wildlife conservation and building rehabilitation.
Arts
Each year, GCA holds the Grand Canyon Celebration of Art, a plein air competition, exhibition and sale sponsored by generous donors including Arizona Public Service, The Gumbo Foundation, Xanterra Parks & Resorts and the Jack Dudley Memorial Fund.
The National Park Service
Since 1916, the American people have entrusted the National Park Service with the care of their national parks. With the help of volunteers and park partners, we are proud to safeguard these nearly 400 places and to share their stories with more than 275 million visitors every year.
