Our
class participants are also stewards of the resource,
every GCFI class is designed to minimize impact
on the fragile ecosystem of Grand Canyon. Each
class stresses the importance of practicing Leave
No Trace (LNT) camping and hiking. We encourage
all visitors to Grand Canyon National Park to
do the same. The seven LNT Principles are:
1. Plan Ahead and Prepare
2. Travel and Camp
on Durable Surfaces
3. Dispose of Waste
Properly
4. Leave What You
Find
5. Minimize Campfire
Impacts
(No fires in Grand Canyon National Park's backcountry)
6. Respect Wildlife
7. Be Considerate
of Other Visitors
