Scholarships


Grand Canyon for All

 

Canyon Field School strives to make camp programs available to all students and schools, regardless of the means. We have full and partial scholarships available for individuals, schools, and youth groups to be able to attend Canyon Field School programs.

Groups and individuals awarded scholarships must choose from the available CFS programs. Custom programs are not available for scholarship recipients. 



Title I Scholarships

This full or partial scholarship is available to Arizona Department of Education designated Title I schools grades 5-12 that have 50 percent or more of their enrollment on a free or reduced lunch program. Scholarships are offered for day or overnight CFS programs and may include transportation to and from Grand Canyon. For day programs, the maximum enrollment is 50 students and 10 teachers/chaperones, and for overnight programs the maximum enrollment is 24 students and 6 teachers/chaperones.

 


Native Youth Scholarships

This full or partial scholarship is available to schools or groups connected to traditionally associated Grand Canyon tribes. For grades 5-12. Scholarships are offered for day or overnight CFS programs and may include transportation to and from Grand Canyon. For day programs the maximum enrollment is 50 students and 10 teachers/chaperones and for overnight programs the maximum enrollment is 24 students and 6 teachers/chaperones.

 


City Youth Scholarships

Full or partial scholarships are available to schools from urban areas (with a population greater than 70,000) for students in grades 5-12. Scholarships are offered for day or overnight CFS programs and can include up to the full cost of enrollment. For day programs the maximum enrollment is 50 students and 10 teachers/chaperones and for overnight programs the maximum enrollment is 24 students and 6 teachers/chaperones.

 

 


Individual Scholarships

This full or partial scholarship is available to individuals wishing to attend a Canyon Field School program. Students attending with a group, homeschool students, and summer Adventure Camp campers are eligible. Scholarships can include all or part of enrollment fees and rental of any needed gear. 

Student scholarships are based on funds ability, need, and completion of the scholarship application. Failure to fully complete the scholarship application will result in ineligibility for the scholarship.
