Indian Garden is a restful oasis to all who hike along the Bright Angel Trail. As a destination or an overnight stay “the Garden” brings peace to weary bodies of those hardy people who took the chance to step below the rim.
Each year Indian Garden offers thousands of day hikers and backpackers a break from the sun, heat, and physical demands of Grand Canyon hiking. For these visitors, picnic tables play a fundamental role in their experience below the rim. A picnic table is an invitation to stop for a snack, take a nap, and safely wait out the heat of a sweltering summer day in the shade of Garden Creek. View an information sheet Did you know?
