What we do: The Grand Canyon Association Field Institute leads groups of like-minded park visitors to intriguing destinations utilizing the recognized experts in Grand Canyon cultural and natural history.

Types of programs: Our classes come in several unique formats including guided day hike classes & tours, overnight backcountry treks, and rim-based learning adventures.

Our history: Since 1993, we have shared the canyon with over 40,000 participants in 3,500 classes throughout the canyon. From seasoned backpackers to families with children, we have something to offer every park visitor.

Who we are: The Grand Canyon Association Field Institute is a program of the Grand Canyon Association, the official nonprofit partner of Grand Canyon National Park since 1932.

A critical mission: Grand Canyon Association supports Grand Canyon National Park in its goals to provide enriching and fulfilling visitor experiences and protecting the park for future generations. We achieve this by establishing a continuous and growing funding stream, providing enhanced educational experiences, and engaging advocates for the park.
