Distance Learning

Bringing Grand Canyon to Kids Around the World

Each year, students from around the world explore Grand Canyon National Park without leaving their classrooms. Grand Canyon Conservancy supporters purchased green-screen virtual technology that allows park educators to deliver inspiring and engaging curriculum on everything Grand Canyon.

Current distance learning classes include:

  • Ancient Life: Exploring what fossils tell us about ancient life at Grand Canyon
  • Ask a Ranger: An interactive question and answer session with a park ranger
  • Condor's Flight: Learning about endangered species through the story of the California Condor
  • The Human Story: Journeying through 12,000 years of human history at Grand Canyon

Location: Classrooms near and far.
