Located in the Village Historical District, the Verkamp's building was originally constructed in 1906 as one of the very first stores to welcome visitors to Grand Canyon. In 2021, Grand Canyon Conservancy funded the restoration of second-floor support beams, preserving this iconic building for generations to come.
