Canyon Conversations: A Twist on (His)tory!

Hear stories of historical Grand Canyon figures John Wesley Powell and Ellsworth Kolb from the creative perspective of authors and artist in residence alumni Anne Finger and Amy Monaghan. Anne and Amy (both Artists in Residence in 2024) will share how their time at Grand Canyon inspires their work as writers. Anne will be reading from her creative non-fiction essay, “Everywhere you look there’s something to see” which focuses on John Wesley Powell. Amy will be reading from her fiction novel, “A Living Thing with Teeth” which focuses on Ellsworth Kolb. This conversation will be moderated by Senior Residency Program Manager, Clover Morell.
