Explore the Trail of Time
Designed for families with kids of all ages, this guided walk makes learning about the canyon fun and engaging. A naturalist leads the way, turning rocks, plants, and canyon views into hands-on discoveries that make the canyon's ancient history feel real and exciting. Lace up your shoes, bring your curiosity, and see Grand Canyon the way it's meant to be explored — up close and on foot. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the hike.
Itinerary
Meet your guide at 9:00 a.m. at Yavapai Geology Museum for introductions and a safety talk. The group will then move westward on the Trail of Time, walking a maximum distance of one mile round trip. The group will complete their tour at the Yavapai Geology Museum.
This offering is first-come, first-served. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before the tour begins to secure your spot.
