Celebration of Art 2026: Experience Art Inspired by Grand Canyon

Each September, artists from across the country gather at Grand Canyon National Park to capture one of the world's most inspiring landscapes through their own unique perspectives.

The 18th Annual Grand Canyon Celebration of Art, taking place September 21–27, 2026, invites visitors to experience the canyon through art while supporting Grand Canyon Conservancy's efforts to protect, preserve, and inspire future generations.

Whether you're an art enthusiast, a first-time visitor, or someone who simply loves Grand Canyon, Celebration of Art offers a unique opportunity to connect with the park in meaningful and unexpected ways.

Water Conservation Measures

Recent flash floods damaged the Transcanyon Waterline, Grand Canyon’s primary water delivery system. As a result, there is no water pumping to the South Rim. While crews work to repair the water system, Grand Canyon National Park is taking significant steps to conserve water.

As we gather at the South Rim this year, we’re reminded that being a good steward of the land and community matters more now than ever. We've condensed this year's programming to reduce demand on the park's water system. We’re asking you to do your part as well: bring your own water, use the portable facilities provided, and help us reduce our footprint.

What Is Grand Canyon Celebration of Art?

Since 2009, Grand Canyon Celebration of Art has brought together a select group of invited artists to experience and paint the canyon during a week-long event at Grand Canyon National Park. This year’s theme, Earth-Mapping, explores the landscape through sensory, ecological, and interpretive perspectives - from plein air and photography to abstraction and conceptual design - inviting audiences to see the canyon in new ways.  

The event culminates in a public exhibition and sale, where visitors can view and purchase the artwork. More than an art exhibition, Celebration of Art is Grand Canyon Conservancy's annual fundraiser supporting its vision for a dedicated Grand Canyon Art Venue at the South Rim; a permanent space where art, education, and the canyon's cultural and natural history can inspire visitors for generations to come.

Every piece of artwork purchased helps advance that vision while supporting Grand Canyon Conservancy's mission to protect Grand Canyon National Park through education, conservation, and stewardship.
