As the Dragon Bravo Fire continues to burn on the North Rim, Grand Canyon Conservancy is responding to community needs and working to understand what long term restoration will entail. GCC will be closed on Friday, August 1 to give all staff a collective day of rest and reflection. As we care for the canyon, we must also take care of ourselves and each other. This pause across all offices, retail locations, the distribution center, and programs is a moment to heal, recharge, and reconnect. We are proud to prioritize our employees in this moment.

Store Details

Kolb Studio contains both a bookstore and an art gallery, as well as several informative displays documenting the Kolb Brothers’ role in the history of Grand Canyon National Park. Kolb Studio also hosts a variety of art and historical exhibits throughout the year.

Constructed by two brothers, Emery and Ellsworth Kolb, the studio served as both their place of residence and their professional photography studio. It still stands today as a monument to early twentieth-century settlers’ visions for the Grand Canyon area. Visitors can tour the house and peruse a number of exhibits highlighting local art and history.
