Sunset and Moonrise Viewing at Mather Point

Dr. Jennifer Hoffman is a professor and astronomer at the University of Denver, the director of DU's historic Chamberlin Observatory, and a past Grand Canyon Astronomer in Residence. She studies how interactions between stars in a binary system create asymmetric supernova explosions. She also works to expand opportunities and remove barriers to participation in physics and astronomy for people from all backgrounds. Dr. Hoffman enjoys exploring the connections between science and art, music, history, storytelling, and all the other ways that humans experience their relationship with the world.
