Now More Than Ever, Community Matters.

From the significant flash-flooding event to the ongoing water challenges, this is an unprecedented moment for Grand Canyon and it's deeply affecting the people who live and work here. 

GCC is here to support our community. Come together, share a meal, connect, and support one another during this challenging time. 

Community members will receive complimentary meals for themselves and their families for as long as supplies last. Take out food is unavailable to ensure we can provide meals to as many people in attendance as possible.

Anyone from the Grand Canyon community is welcome to attend.

Join us for a very special night of live music, food, and fun at Big E with Ed Kabotie and Tha ‘Yoties, accompanied by Sage Bond!

Tha ‘Yoties (short for Coyotes) are a reggae-rock band led by Ed Kabotie (Tewa/Hopi Artist/Musician/ Educator). Through the universal language of music, Tha ‘Yoties are howling for the people and lands of the Grand Canyon region. 

Sage Bond is a Diné singer-songwriter and composer from the Navajo Nation who began performing at the age of 13. Her music blends her experiences as a Native artist with a passion for storytelling and advocacy.

Xanterra is providing free shuttle service back and forth from Maswik to dinner locations beginning at 5:15 p.m. every half hour until 7:45 p.m. Buses leave from the bus parking area on the west side of Maswik Lodge. The last shuttle leaves Tusayan at 8:15 p.m. to return to Maswik.

• Thursday, November 5, Doors open at 6:10pm, Movie starts at 6:30 p.m.
• Join GCC for a free film screening of Out There: A National Parks Story (75 minutes).
• A Q&A with documentary filmmaker Brendan Hall will follow the film.
• Popcorn will be provided. 
• All residents and employees of Grand Canyon and Tusayan are welcome. Bring your family!

We hope these events offer an opportunity for shared meals and quality time with one another while creating space for community and connection. Because when the canyon needs us most, we show up—together.
